Northstar has always done right by me. I have used them on 3 separate occasions over the years and I would personally recommend them to anyone. They always offer multiple options. They helped me keep two cars on the road with options nobody else would offer as well as painting the side of a car for me that took 3rd place in a national car show. I normally don't write reviews but these guys helped many times over the years and I will always go back to them. Walt is a good man, don't know what I would have done without the help of his operation.
I just saw the piece on Fox 4 Problem Solvers. It appears their scam is when people drop off their vehicle for a free estimate, they put you off, saying they are trying to get prices on parts. The subject of Problem Solvers finally got his repair estimate, and when he declined the high repair and wanted his car, they tried to charge him $1,250 ($50 per day) for storage, even though the reason they had it was through their delay tactics.
They did waive the fee, but probably only because they were smeared on the news.
This place says they are not a towing company but they work hand in hand with a towing company and screw people at the worst times in their lives-- during a car accident. Saying you have to pay 100s of dollars to get your car back. They are the predators!! Do not do business with these people they don't deserve another dime. Always ask for a city tow if ever involved in a car accident.
